Twice Gold for Sustainable Industry Buildings
For the first time at this year’s EXPO REAL, the leading commercial property exposition, retail and industry buildings holding the German Seal of quality for Sustainable Building were shown. On October 6th, 2009, the German Society for Sustainable Building (DGNB) awarded the desired certificate to more than 30 buildings. The certificate confirms the high quality of ecological, economical, social and technical attributes of a building and offers – as an incorporated planning instrument – an extensive orientation resource for investors, constructors, planers and building users.
Two Industry buildings were awarded with the highest-level certificate from the DGNB. Our own colleague Anne Braun accompanied both projects to the golden certificate, a production hall for high-grade steel parts in Dresden and a service and logistics center in Munich. Braune is a certified DGNB auditor and works at PE INTERNATIONAL in the area of sustainability building for building evaluation and sustainable building design.
A successful building certification demonstrates the high quality of a building and significantly raises renting and selling opportunities on the commercial property market.
