The short version of the LCA on SunDiesel prepared by PE INTERNATIONAL was handed over to federal minister Renate Künast within the international congress on "Synthetic Biofuels"

An eco-balance sheet study which was ordered jointly by Volkswagen and DaimlerChrysler comes to the conclusion that the use of so-called BTL-fuel (Biomass-To-Liquid), also known as SunFuel, can save between 61 and 91 percent of greenhouse gas emissions in comparison with conventional diesel over its complete lifecycle.

In addition to the latter, hydrocarbon emissions, which contribute to summer smog, are reduced by about 90 percent by the use of SunFuel.

The oral presentation on the study, which was held at the the international congress on "Synthetic Biofuels" you can find on the homepage of the "Fachagentur Nachwachsende Rohstoffe", clicking here.
