PE INTERNATIONAL conducted the LCA-on lightweight and end-of-life scenarios for generic compact class passenger vehicles (LIRECAR)

Within the framework of the Growth Program, the European Commission funded a project that aimed at identifying the environmental impacts and relevance for combinations of recycling / recovery and lightweight vehicle design options over the whole life cycle of a vehicle  i.e. manufacturing, use and recycling/recovery.


Most of the key players of the European automotive industry (Ford, Volvo, DaimlerChrysler, Volkswagen, Fiat, Opel, Renault) carrying out the project stated, that the study would have not been possible without the dedicated support of J├╝rgen Stichling (PE INTERNATIONAL) in reliably computing the LCA study and accepting the task of following numerous additional ideas.
