Two-day Course on Corporate and Product Carbon Footprinting

  • Wellington CBD, New Zealand
  • April 13 -14, 2010
  • Prices: NZD 960*, Early Bird NZD 860* (Registration by 26 March)

Why and how to Carbon Footprint your product and company

Climate change is a paramount economic, social and political challenge facing the world today. Multiple international initiatives are already focusing on the challenges of climate change, e.g. product carbon footprinting (PCF) by Tesco, the UK´s largest retailer, and corporate carbon footprint (CCF) disclosures by various multinational companies. Such initiatives have developed a dynamic of their own and are rapidly gaining momentum.

Now is the time to take action and demonstrate responsibility to your customers, stakeholders and staff by decreasing your carbon footprint (CF). Whether it be to meet legislative or supply chain requirements or voluntarily for clear bottom-line benefits, the two-day course will assist you in taking a proactive approach to managing and reducing your carbon footprint.

We will provide:

  •  The latest information on drivers and requirements for carbon management
  • Guidance and training on measuring product and organisational CFs
  • The ability to identify opportunities and risks of CF
  • A basis for developing carbon reduction management strategies
  • Insight into standards, methodology, current and forthcoming international initiatives

We will further discuss how to create and manage a greenhouse gas emissions reduction plan, how to offset emissions as well as the pros and cons of making carbon messages public.

The course will have a balanced mix of presentations, small group exercises and moderated discussions to ensure a lively dialogue. This enables us to respond to your individual needs and provides you with highly rewarding outcomes
