LCANZ is a special interest group open to everyone interested in environmental footprinting. Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Carbon Footprinting are increasingly being used in industry and government to measure and demonstrate the environmental impacts of products and services.
LCANZ’s mission is to provide a focal point for Life Cycle Assessment and Management work conducted in New Zealand. It’s their aim to promote networking and knowledge sharing between organisations and people. Promoting and raising the awareness of Life Cycle Thinking amongst the wider public and business is another key goal of LCANZ.
Barbara Nebel, Managing Director of PE Australasia and President of LCANZ, says "Establishing LCANZ is a important step towards raising awareness, building a community of interest, sharing information and ensuring more effective coordination of product related assessments in New Zealand”.
