Environmental Product Declarations (EPD) - Your challenge
Emission values, life cycle costs, energy efficiency– these are only a few of the requirements which are demanded from a sustainable building. The building materials and building products used in the building mainly determine the impacts it has on the environment. Building products are not »good« or »bad«. Their performance from a technical, optical and also environmental view is always to be regarded in an overall system. The suitable application within the building is crucial.
Environmental Product Declarations (EPD) according to ISO 14025 provide a basis for information concerning the life cycle analysis and are therefore required for certifying the sustainability of buildings.
