The building industry is the most active branch in Germany and bears a big responsibility for society and the environment. Climate change and the availability of resources are strong drivers for quick action to improve sustainability in civil engineering. This means building carefully, using resources sparingly and economically and contributing to the preservation of the human health and social and cultural values. To achieve this, we engaged as a founding member of the German Sustainable Building Council and have created the start-database of the BMVBS (Federal Ministry of Traffic, Construction and Urban Development) for sustainable building.
