Remarks:

• Aircraft: Emission factors are based on a Boeing 737-400 with 157 passenger seats, average utilisation 64,5% (Lufthansa), valid for a distance between 250-4000km
  The RFI Factor is included in the calculation, which takes into account the climate effects of other GHG emissions not considered by the Kyoto protocoll (especially for emissions in high altitudes). There is some scientific uncertainty in the calculation method. We are using the average RFI factor suggested by IPCC. This means all CO₂ emission caused by air travel are multiplied by 2.7.
• Train: Emission factors based on an Intercity train with electricity supply, average utilisation 50%
• Car: Emission factors are based on an average middle-class car
